Terms & Conditions – Home Farm Equestrian

Effective Date: 1/1/2026

By entering events, booking services, or attending Home Farm Equestrian (“we”, “us”, “our”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

1. General

  • All riders, handlers, and attendees must comply with these Terms & Conditions

  • Instructions from organisers, stewards, and officials must be followed at all times

  • We reserve the right to refuse entry or remove any individual for safety or welfare reasons

2. Entries & Bookings

  • Entries must be submitted via our official platforms (e.g. Horse Monkey)

  • Entries are only confirmed once full payment has been received

  • Late entries may be accepted at our discretion and may incur additional fees

  • Entry closing dates will be clearly stated

Entry Accuracy

  • It is the competitor’s responsibility to check all entry details

  • Any errors must be reported prior to times being published

  • No amendments can be guaranteed after this point

3. Membership Requirements

  • Where applicable, competitors must hold a valid Home Farm Equestrian membership

  • Non-members may be required to purchase a temporary or event-specific membership

4. Withdrawals & Refund Policy

  • Before times are published: Full refund minus booking/processing fees

  • After times are published: No refunds

  • Exceptions may be considered in cases of:

    • Veterinary certificate (horse injury/illness)

    • Medical certificate (rider)

All refund decisions are at the organiser’s discretion.

5. Event Changes & Timings

  • We reserve the right to:

    • Amend schedules, classes, or timings

    • Combine or split classes

    • Cancel events due to weather, safety, or unforeseen circumstances

  • All published times are “Not Before” times and remain subject to change

  • Competitors must be prepared to compete earlier or later than stated

6. Conduct & Behaviour

All attendees must:

  • Behave in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner

  • Not use abusive, aggressive, or inappropriate language

  • Follow all safety instructions

We operate a zero-tolerance policy on:

  • Abuse towards officials, volunteers, or other competitors

  • Dangerous riding or handling

Breaches may result in:

  • Disqualification

  • Removal from the venue

  • Future entry bans

7. Horse Welfare

  • Horse welfare is paramount at all times

  • Any horse deemed unfit to compete may be withdrawn

  • Excessive use of whip, spurs, or force will not be tolerated

  • All horses must be handled in a safe and humane manner

8. Helper Duties

  • Where applicable, competitors may be required to undertake helper duties as a condition of entry

  • Duties will be communicated in advance where possible

  • Failure to fulfil allocated duties may result in:

    • Disqualification

    • Withholding of results or prizes

    • Refusal of future entries

9. Liability

  • Participation in equestrian activities carries inherent risk

  • Home Farm Equestrian accepts no liability for:

    • Injury to persons

    • Loss or damage to property

    • Theft or accident

All participants attend and compete at their own risk.

10. Insurance

  • Riders are strongly advised to hold valid personal accident and public liability insurance

  • Proof of insurance may be requested

11. Health & Safety

  • All attendees must comply with on-site health and safety requirements

  • Approved riding hats must be worn when mounted

  • Appropriate footwear must be worn around horses

  • Children must be supervised at all times

12. Parking & Vehicles

  • Vehicles must be parked as directed

  • Horseboxes, trailers, and cars are parked at the owner’s risk

  • No overnight parking unless agreed in advance

13. Photography & Media

  • Events may be photographed or filmed

  • Images may be used for promotional purposes

  • By attending, you consent to this use unless you notify us in advance

14. Data Protection

  • Personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy

  • By entering, you consent to your data being used for event management and communication

15. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to deliver events due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Weather conditions

  • Government restrictions

  • Public health issues

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands.
